中国国电集团公司国电新能源技术研究院坐落在北京市昌平区国家未来科技城。该研究院将瞄准未来新能源发展方向，研究前沿能源技术，同时也着眼于当前我国能源利用的现状，着力解决制约能源高效清洁利用的若干重大技术难题。研究院设有 8 个技术研究所，2011 年底投入使用。
